[The Approach]
Documenting people has been my passion for my entire adult life. My approach is genuine. I focus on visually telling the story of the bride & groom and the people who love them. The perspective of the guests of honor is incorporated while keeping in mind the important people surrounding them.
I believe photojournalism is not a style. It is a profession. I do my homework. Part of the process is to understand the bride & groom's perspective. This comprehension only comes from listening to the couple tell their story. I ask questions about the family dynamics. I listen to the bride's vision of the big day.
The result is truthful imagery. The colors are vibrant and real. It is my job, and my goal, to capture the client in the best possible light. I use my knowledge of cameras, lighting and lenses. Combine those with my education, experience and passion for photography to understand a complete approach to wedding photojournalism.
Often, I find myself attending various pre-wedding events from cake tastings to the rehearsal dinner. The bride & groom, and usually the family members, become very comfortable with my presence. There is a natural tendancy to distance an outsider from personal moments. My approach results in not only capturing the intimate moments, but the subject commenting that they were not even aware I was present at the time.
I take pride in my work. I believe in clean, sharp, properly exposed imagery. There are no gimmicks. The images are timeless and plentiful. The photographs are to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
If you are happily engaged, value professional photography services for the memories of your day and want to simply enjoy your wedding day, you have landed in the right hands. love. photography.
